Managing a legal office is no easy feat. From guideline enforcement to data storage to case preparation and beyond, there are dozens of essential details to be overseen. Effective law practice management tools consolidate many of these responsibilities for faster, simpler and more financially viable application.
Ricoh USA, the American division of global technology specialists, have recently released a suite of tools that will not only assist with law practice management, but will also make mobility easier for attorneys in a marketplace that increasingly demands the ability to work wireless.
Law Firm Technologies from Ricoh
Ricoh USA has already developed a Business Information Solutions platform by which to assist companies in streamlining their daily management practices. The new Mobile Worker Services Portfolio will do much of the same, but with a focus on smartphone, laptop and tablet computing. DocumentMall, DirectLink and HotSpot mobile printing are all part of the Mobile Worker Services Portfolio.
Allows documents to be embedded with log-in credentials and then delivered as links to new recipients who can access them securely, as well as full text searches and more.
Ricoh USA’s document management platform is ideal for the mobile lawyer. It allows file storage, creation and access from any device, with collaborative features and an auditing service that will illustrate who has made what changes to each document.
HotSpot Mobile Printing
Any device with internet connectivity can take advantage of this useful innovation. It allows remote printing through any printer equipped with HotSpot, without requiring driver downloads or software installations. Better still, iOS, Android and Blackberry devices can be loaded with a HotSpot app which uses GPS mapping to locate the nearest public HotSpot-enabled printer.
Although designed for business in general rather than specifically for the purpose of law practice management, the Mobile Worker Services Portfolio from Ricoh USA is a useful addition to any legal team.
