Search engine rankings – more specifically, Google’s search rankings are the focal point of most law firms’ SEO campaign. They obviously want to know where they’re ranking at any given time for a particular keyword. You can of course scroll through the search rankings manually to find where you rank, but this can quickly become tedious and time consuming.
If you’re trying to manage an extensive SEO campaign where you’re trying to rank for dozens or even hundreds of keywords, then it’s next to impossible. Fortunately, there’s a helpful tool that’s completely free and easy to use. It’s called the Keyword Rank Checker from SERPs.com.

Once that’s been entered, click on “Go!” at the bottom. It takes a few seconds to fully analyze everything, but here are the results that I got for this particular search.
As you can see, Best Legal Practices ranks number 15 for this keyword. To prove the accuracy, I performed a manual search on Google, and here’s what I got:
The actual results on Google had this page ranking at number 13, which is a small discrepancy. However, you can still get a general idea for where a particular page is ranked at. Keep in mind that rankings continually fluctuate, so this should be taken into account as well.
Monitoring your search rankings is an integral part of SEO. You’ll want to know how your content stacks up against the competition and if there are any pages that require further optimization. Using this tool is a straightforward way to get the data you need without a lot of hassle. Just repeat the steps listed above for each additional keyword you need to analyze.
A Great Tool Overall
To be fair, I should mention that there are several different tools that you can use as a keyword rank checker. This one from SERPs.com is by no means the only choice available. However, many of the other tools come at a cost and require a substantial learning curve. Many SEO marketers like the SERPs.com tool because it’s free and still delivers solid results. If you’ll only be checking your rankings every once in awhile, it should be more than sufficient.
Keep in mind that SERPS.com does have paid options available, which offer more robust features. For instance, you can analyze multiple keywords at once and can have more detailed reporting. However, if your needs are only basic, then this is probably overkill.
If you need to track your keywords and follow your legal site’s progress in the search rankings, the Keyword Rank Checker from SERPs.com is an effective tool to use. Although the data isn’t necessarily comprehensive, it will supply you with the core information that you need. From there, you can take measures to optimize pages accordingly so that you’re ultimately able to attain a high ranking position.
