There’s an undeniable link between curiosity and intelligence. People who are smart tend to be perpetual learners, always looking to add more data to their body of knowledge. The legal bloggers that thrive are usually the ones exploring new topics and learning all they can. In turn, this often leads to some outstanding blog content.
2) They’re Voracious Readers
This overlaps with our first point. Reading is one of the quickest ways to learn and soak in new ideas. You’ll find that many of the top legal bloggers are constantly reading. And it’s not a chore, it’s a pleasure.
3) They’re Organized
Getting ideas from your head to a finalized, polished blog post requires multiple smaller steps along the way. Seldom is it something that you do out of a burst of inspiration.
Instead, you’ll find that most A+ bloggers stick to some type of editorial calendar or spreadsheet. It’s there that they:
- Brainstorm ideas
- Generate topics
- Target keywords
- Schedule posts
For all of this to come together, it requires a significant amount of organization.

It’s rare that you find a successful blog with a massive audience that’s only updated only once in a blue moon. They know that it’s easy for complacency or flat out laziness to creep in, so they take measures to ensure that the job gets done. They may use the pomodoro technique, productivity apps and so on.

You don’t see many successful scatterbrained bloggers who work on a whim and hope for the best. Those with sizable audiences have a vision and are always thinking ahead. They know which steps they must take to reach their inevitable goals and have backup plans in the event of unforeseen curveballs.
7) They’re Analytical
Analytics are everything these days. No longer do we blindly manage our marketing campaigns or slap up blog content and pray that our audience will like it.
Most professional bloggers utilize some form of analytics software such as Google Analytics, HubSpot or Clicky. These platforms provide actionable data that’s necessary for steering your blogging efforts in the right direction.
